Campus Beauty Queen

When the lights switched-on on the stage
The moods of drowsiness and tiresome vanished
The beauties on the luminous platform appeared
And the crowds thundering applause filled the air

In a moment, beauties pose on the stage
The audience quickly on their feet
As the long shiny tube-like legs shifted
Praises and excitements manifested on every face

When the hips wiggled the people yelled
Goddesses are the ladies as they flashed their sweet smiles
Their slow timid walks correspond to the music
And grins and cheers filled the hall of pageantry

In measuring the contestants’ intellect
Contestant number four was the crowd’s favorite
Calm and fluent she answered the query
And won the title of Miss Congeniality

In fluttering their well molded arcs and figures
On the eyes of men they are irresistible
In two-piece suit, ravishing was contestant number two
And she was the night’s Miss Swim Suit

Exemplary talents every lady possesses
Orator, artists, dancers, actress
But the most daring and full of thrill
Performed cleverly by contestant number three

She rendered the dance of the natives
With fragile earthenware carefully filed overhead
In the tinkling jingling of metals she danced gracefully
And the daring knack tagged as Best of the Best

In the presentation of cuts and fashion
The lasses looked so gorgeous and wonderful
By their shiny, elegant, and pleasing frocks
They were Queens and Princesses of Grecian Myth

Among the captivating beauties
The number seven damsel was Venus for real
In her twinkling royal blue dress she’s dignified
And graced as the Ultimate Lady Cuts of Fashion

As the judges cast the three finalists
And the masters of ceremonies aired the verdict
In astound the motley crowd all together applauded
Contestants number two, four, and seven reach the peak

Full of enthusiasm, the finalists stepped forward on stage
Furor, frenzy, and tumultuous feelings feel deep within
In their mind they asked “who well be the Queen?”
The title that inspired the teens to be in the pageant

Contestant number seven tagged as the Second Princess
She happily received the sash and bouquet
Her teary eyes and exquisite smile
Was the revelation of her joy deep inside

The highest glory, the year’s Campus Beauty Queen
Goes to the diminutive, the irresistible,
And the jovial contestant number four
The most competent and the darling of all

All of them were chosen, admired and applauded
And this event happened because
Beauty lies in the eyes of the beholder
