Stubborn Heart

I don't know, I don't understand
Why I cherish this, here in my heart
In front of me, it's a naked truth
You love someone, you have a boyfriend

In knocking your heart, I am late
Hindrances and obstructions are on my way
It's a flickering hope, a dim light
That keeps me awake and alive
I don't know the future,
But one thing I am sure,
Either a lifetime joy and happiness
Or another chapter of frustration and pain

Joy and happiness
If a special room is provided
Room for lovebirds, sharing mutual feelings
Singing romantic melodies
Whispering words of love and aspirations
Building castles, connecting bridges
And delight in ecstasy
Of being loved and beloved

Frustration and pain
For this feeling will be in vain
Once again my heart will drift
In the midst of heartbreaking solitude
Gloomy is the day, even though it's bright and gay
Though I laugh and mingle with friends
Deep within, I'm lonesome and weary

However, whatever happen
To the whole world, I still yell
Flatter and rise-up the banner
Of this enlivening spirit
That charges me thousands of excitement
On the bed of my bosom
No other maiden resting
It's you and only you
My Splendid Lady

President's Pride

Manuel Luis Quezon

The great landmark of Quezon City, the erstwhile capital city of the Philippines, named after Manuel Luis Quezon, the first president of the First Philippine Commonwealth Government.

The Quezon City Memorial Circle Pylon

The President's tomb under the great pylon

The tomb's inscriptions and what the pylon symbolizes

The bed of the president

The birth centenary stamps

It's a rear opportunity to visit a place where a leader of great vision is buried. As I Am reading those notes and plaques of recognitions and achievements, I can't do nothing but to express praises of admiration. It seems that the atmosphere of those times where present as the president delivered a speech in front of the people who gave their trust in the reformation of the nation devastated by war.

Silent Witness

Every event that occurs there’s a witness. Some are able to speak but afraid to speak, others want to speak but cannot speak, and the worst are those that intentionally remain silent.

This thing is the witness that wants to speak but not able to speak. It can’t tell anyone how hard the plight of its owner's life in everyday undertakings. It’s the silent witness how to survive. It feels the sweats and the tears that falls, the silent sobs, the deep inhales and long exhales. It knows the intensity of the kicks weather it’s inspired or tired, badly in need or the tour of duty is just for pleasure. The condition of this thing is a clear predicament how unpleasant the life of whoever owns it.

Congress on Session?

Congress, May 18, 2009
where are the congressmen gone?
their desks full of documents
house bills and resolutions, subject for deliberation
would be republic acts and laws of the land
could not be acted upon because they are gone

shame on them, those useless congressmen
elected by their constituents, performing nothing
serving for themselves, only for personal gain
poor citizen, forsaken and forgotten

this sneaky men and women are not worthy
even to step into that hall of principle and justice
they must be smashed and turn to dust
so their breed be extinct, on earth totally vanished

Do not exceed the threshold

Pushing to threshold ultimately results to undesirable circumstance. Young blood, new driver, new machine, freedom of open road, thrill of speed. Not to mention the incidents caused by fellow motorist and other vehicles, these are the common factor of motorcycle accidents. Motorcyclist particularly the new and young ones, far exceeds the speed limit once they feel the wind blowing their hair. It is a thrilling experience to taste such freedom and ignoring they are just an inch or a seconds towards serious bodily harm and if in misfortune death. The lack of protective barriers between the driver and the road ultimately leaves the rider in very vulnerable position. Of the road mishaps that occurs involving motorcycles, approximately one out of every five is lucky enough to come out the ordeal with minor bumps, bruises, and abrasions.

Definitely, exceeding the legal speed limit is not solely restricted too young and new motorcyclist but also to the older and more experienced drivers. A simple slip of the wheel or an unexpected obstacle enables the driver to stagger. Sometimes a motorcyclist fails to slow down when cornering and holding the break is too late. Accidents came up unexpectedly and mostly it takes place to those who forgot to take necessary driving precautions.

Anything under the sun has a limitation and pushing to its threshold is not advisable.

Wheel

I've been thinking of some possible reason on how this civilization came up to this state of technological dependency? What was the past generations' contribution to this effect? I read books, journals, and many other source of information including the net just to find a simple clue for this. Only one thing I have observed from those records, man never stop in finding solutions how to make life smooth and easy. They invented things, conducted studies and framed theories. And one of their remarkable invention was the wheel.

The wheel is a big help in our lives. Using carts in simple transportation of goods from one place to another, up to the exploration of oceans and galaxies. This equipment was developed and used as component of complicated machines which enables us to work with speed and accuracy. This was also used by great men and women in the history of kingdoms and empires. Wheel was attached to their armaments, catapults, and chariots for their advantage in conquering lands, and protecting territories from invaders. This invention helped in the progress of the world's economy, industry, and technology.

The construction and transportation industry will never move forward without the wheel. The construction of high rise commercial and residential buildings, lengthy expressways, bridges, flyovers, and in the excavation of subways and tunnels, wheel is undeniably present. Through the expertise of the operator, the heavy equipments used in these projects safely moves because of the wheel. In transporting agricultural and industrial products, from the rough carts of cave people up to the automobiles of this modern civilization, wheel is always a component. Some are simple in design others are artistically manufactured to enhance beauty and elegance. Scientists, researchers, and inventors don't stop in developing this thing in order to utilize its full function with convenience and efficacy.

Wheel is also useful for kids in parks and playgrounds. It enables children to interact each other that they could develop good physical built and a wholesome character. it delivers laughter in amusement centers and casinos, sports enthusiasts gain fame and wealth, hobbyists such as a potter finds satisfaction and relief, and house chores over and done with comfort. Our disabled fellowmen who could not walk now can see the beauty of the surroundings.

All that I wrote above are the benefits accounted for the invention of wheel. Not to mention its worse effect when handled with negligence. But, as long as man seek out for easy way of life and search for industrial and technological advancement, wheel will always share a role in our existence.

Johnny Wake-up

Hey! Johnny wake-up
on that sleep of no harvest
Time to rise up
move that will built physique
Shelve the bed of relaxation
the mat, the blanket, and the pillows as well

Hey! Johnny wake-up
be conscious to society's events
Time to rise up
help your parents, the needy, and yourself most especially
Evade the useless deeds
and accomplish useful things

Hey! Johnny wake-up
overcome evil let goodness come in
Time to rise up
straighten the crooked thinking
Light life's highway
to be safe by night and day

Its early
be awake Johnny!
Still early
rise up Johnny!
For at the end regrets
you might, and its too late

The Fulfillment

As I meet my splendid lady, I never think that I will be a man what I am today. I envisioned a simple and happy family living in a peaceful haven with contentment to anything We have. Rise and teach siblings with love of God, care and respect family members and others, obedience in the law and authorities, and nurture them the virtues of a versatile and wholesome citizen. These was I dreamed despite the hindrances that even before I touch her hand to introduce myself and to know her better was so difficult and uncomfortable. She's committed to someone whom her friends said that they are in a relationship for years.

It saddened me. It almost broke down my plans for the future. But unfortunately, my stubborn heart never gave up. The feeling never fades but it constantly hope that at the right time this budding love will find its way to be offered to the splendid lady and bloom like a flower full of enchanting aroma. It happened as it meant to be.

Ella, Maki, and Michelle are the fruits of my stubborn heart. They are the fulfillment of my dreams of a happy family. These kids are amazing gifts of God. I called them beauties at play because whenever there is time available they exercise that freedom. They are the most precious jewels that I possess. The happiness that they give to us is immeasurable.

This has been proven again, “what is meant to be will happen as it is meant to be.”

Vanities & Joe

Why, Joe, on that crowded, noisy streets
for the span of vacant hours all day?
Why, Joe, roaming around with your peers
the precious minutes gone with nothing?

Where are your books that contain knowledge,
Honey, gold and fame as well
Open its pages understand every lines,
It is a concrete bulwark against the acids of hardships

Why, Joe, with braggarts and spoiled assembly
blowing their horns, talking meaningless?
Why, Joe, by standing on street corners
with sparkling whiskey tossing with comrades?

Pay heed, turn your head side by side
Keenly observe man's daily undertakings
Cleanse the obstructions of yours ears
And listen to the mourns of the needy

Why, Joe, in that hall full of laughter,
erotic sounds, and sparkling dim lights?
Why, Joe, present on that hall of temptations,
where on the platform figures vulgarly perform?

Get rid the powers of this world
Fleshly desires, vices, greediness, enviousness
These gives no glory in stead darkness and slavery
And lead life wandering, sometimes untimely death

Acknowledge thy dear parents' love and sacrifices
Value every drop of sweat and coin they give
Don't waste the prime of life, take the opportunity
If it gone that nothing accomplished
Regrets will come in
And its too late, Joe

Splendid Lady

The Splendid Lady
My mind is scrambling
In selecting suitable terms
I scratch my head
My toes, my knees
And take a long deep sigh
But still its Jo
That spheres the universe of my head

In front of me
A simple question appeared
Who's Jo?
Who really she is?

No answer revealed, except
The deafening silence
That reverberates to my ears

To peers and acquaintances
For the simplest, she's Jo
The simple and silent type lady
Her serenity is a symbol
Of unfathomable deepness
Her simplicity
Reveals devotion and sincerity
And her smile
Her pleasing enchanting smile
Promises the joy of coming days

Her words, though limited
Are refined and full of encouragement
Her eyes, behind the lenses
Are twinkling jewels
Of hope and contentment
Her bearing as she gait
Is a telltale of a dignified lady
And in her person
A sister, a friend, and a beloved
All are present

Its Jo, The Splendid Lady
And of regal personality

Laugther at Last
